In a research of his, Dr. Gerald Bell, University of North Carolina (Professor of Organizational Behavior and Management) has asked 4,000 Retired Executives over the age of 70 the following question:

"If you could live your life all over, what would you do differently?"

They responded in common to 8 key areas that if they could live their life all over again, they would do so differently.
In my previous posts I listed the first 6 common areas of regret:

Here are the remaining two common areas of regret and my thoughts on how to avoid it:

Regret # 7 – Career

“I would have planned my career”.

Key Message: Take control of your career and plan it out according to your life goals and vision. Get some career planning/life coaching if needed to help you clarify.

Regret # 8 – God and/or Community

“I would have lived in oneness with my God and or given more back to my community”.

Key Message: Connecting with your God, the higher self and servicing your community are facets of life that shouldn’t be ignored and bring about fulfillment.

How to Get Rich – 7 Secrets from the Richest Man in Babylon

Babylon. Its very name conjures visions of wealth and splendor. Its treasures of gold and jewels were famous throughout the ancient world. The book, The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason, was first published in the 1920s. It is written in parable form using old-English and speaks of gold and gold coins in lieu of modern-day currency but the message is right on the money (excuse the pun)! In the book, Babylon is experiencing an economic downturn and the King approaches the richest man in Babylon called Arkad to teach Babylon’s citizens on how to create wealth.
I’ve prepared a summary of the fundamental ‘how to get rich’ tips from Chapter 3 in the book called “7 Cures for a Lean Purse”. Here are the first three:

Step 1: Start Thy Purse to Fattening

Spend only 9 out of each 10 coins earned. Save one-tenth of what you earn for yourself for worthwhile use in the future. This is the crucial first step on your journey to becoming rich.

Step 2: Control Thy Expenditures
Budget for your expenses. Make sure you have enough coins to pay for your necessities. Only pay for your enjoyments and gratify your worthwhile desires if you can do so without spending more than nine-tenths of your earnings. Make sure that you can continue to save one-tenth of what you bring in.

Step 3: Make Thy Gold Multiply
Put each coin to labour so that it may reproduce its kind. As you start to build up your savings, invest that money so that it makes more money for you. Don’t leave your savings sitting dormant in a bank account (unless it’s a very high interest rate savings account). Worse still, don’t leave it under your mattress depreciating in value!

What is Millionaire Mindset Secrets about anyway!?

Hi there, welcome! I've created Millionaire Mindset Secrets to help everyone from any background, anywhere get on the road to wealth creation. You might say BIG DEAL! Well, as someone once said, the best way to help the poor is not to become one of them. I've been stone-cold broke myself before. In my early 20s when I was a full-time musician i often slept rough in LA chasing my dream. I survived on bean burritos and Salvation Army rice! I painted houses and fixed gardens. I've lived in horrible bedsits. I delivered pizzas around Dublin once to save money so that I could fly to New York to play gigs. Yes, I've done all kinds of things to get by. Why am I telling you all this? Well, the reason I am telling you all this is that I wasn't born wealthy with a silver spoon in my mouth. Indeed, I've probably made more mistakes than anyone I know on the road to wealth creation. Now I want to tell you my story, share my insights, skills and knowledge (and that of other wealth creation experts) so that you too can learn the skills and techniques necessary so that you too can start living the life you always dreamt of.

I've been in business for myself for over 8 years now and I've both made and lost a lot of money. Thankfully now I know how to keep it when I make it! I've invested in property, I've bought and sold shares, I've set-up businesses etc., I've pretty much dabbled in most wealth creation techniques and asset classes and have learnt the long and hard way the do's and don’ts of wealth creation.

Why is wealth creation so important? I believe that most people are living unfulfilled lives and that oftentimes money (or the lack of) restricts people from doing the things they want to do in the way they want to do them. I'm not saying money or wealth is the key to happiness. It's not. In fact it can make you miserable. I've met many rich, poor people and many poor, rich people! But one thing money does give you is CHOICE. You can chose how you want to live your life. Wouldn't it be nice to know…

- that if you didn't go to work for the next 2 years that you had enough money to live on and pay your bills.
- that if you fell ill that you had more than enough money to provide for you and your family.
- that every day you are getting wealthier (without having to work 9-5)
- that you are debt-free
- that you had enough cash in the bank (and freedom) so that you could decide to go anywhere in the world in a heartbeat
- that you donate as much as you want to worthwhile causes
- etc.,

I think the best kind of life you can live is one that is balanced emotionally, spiritually, financially, domestically, health-wise, etc. Millionaire Mindset Secrets is going to focus on wealth creation and how to make money but it is also going to touch on other key areas in life (as I believe that you will be a much more effective (and wealthier) human being if you are balanced across the key areas in your life).

You are just one click away from discovering the Millionaire Mindset Secrets that’s taken me years to become skilled at. Discover these secrets NOW and avoid costly mistakes (I’ve made these mistakes and learnt the hard way)….now you can do the right things first time and fast-track your way to being a millionaire and creating true wealth and happiness)
